Spice Girls & Various Artists - It's Only Rock 'N' Roll

"It's Only Rock 'N' Roll" was a single to support the charity "Children's Promise", released on 13th December 1999, it was released to coincide with the race for Christmas No. 1 - the Spice Girls claimed to be "too busy" that year to release a Christmas single, and so breaking their run of Christmas #1s. This single was possibly made to be the new "Perfect Day", which reached #1 in 1997. Unfortunately, this single only reached #19. 36 artists in all took part on the song, the Spice Girls sung a chorus on the "full version", and Melanie C did some vocals for the song. The song was poorly promoted, and made no impact, spending only 4 weeks on the Top 40.
