Spice Girls - Forever

"Forever", the album, was released in November 2000 in the both the US and the UK. The album peaked at #2 in the UK, behind Westlife's "Coast To Coast", which claimed the #1 in a fierce chart battle. Forever's UK first week sales were just 71,000. In the US, many people didn't even know that the album was released due to the lack of promotion, and consequently peaked at #39, with low first week sales of 34,000 copies. While "Forever" had strong initial sales worldwide (1 million in the first week), these were not sustained, and in the UK a total of 265,000 copies were sold, compared to the US sales of 207,000. "Forever" sold 2.5 million copies worldwide.
