Melanie C - Never Be The Same Again

"Never Be The Same Again" was the third single to be released from "Northern Star", and this was the single that introduced Melanie C as a solo artist to the mainstream. The song had everything going in its favour, with strong promotion, #1 on airplay, and vocals from Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes. When released on 20th March 2000, the song went straight to #1 selling 150,000 copies in its first week and 401,800 copies altogether, the 18th best seller of 2000. The single improved sales of "Northern Star", which previously was flagging in sales terms, and brought the album back into the Top 10 of the UK chart, while bringing the album to worldwide attention.
