"Melt/Yeh Yeh Yeh" started life as just "Yeh Yeh Yeh", but due to a ligament injury on Melanie's knee, this never happened. Melanie couldn't promote "Yeh Yeh Yeh" with her injury, and so "Melt", being easier to promote, was added to the mix, thus making the single "Melt/Yeh Yeh Yeh". Released on 10th November 2003, Melanie faced strong competition from Busted and Britney Spears. Following a distribution problem, lack of promotion, and an incorrectly sequenced CD 1, the single entered the chart at #27. The single went on to sell just 8,300 copies.
