"Lift Me Up" was the third single to be released from "Schizophonic" on 1st November 1999. The song received unbeatable promotion, but Geri's competition was strong, as usual - this week, she was facing Emma Bunton in the race for #1, this was the first time two Spice Girls had gone head to head with solo projects. Geri won this "battle", and went to #1 after publicity from her romance with Chris Evans. The single sold 139,000 copies in its first week, 33,000 more than rival Emma Bunton. "Lift Me Up" sold around 337,000 copies altogether in the UK - the 57th best seller of 1999. An interesting fact to note is that the single sold 27,000 copies in 2000.
